FAINT was founded 2005 in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, by its only member Grimmer, 2005 the logo was created, name of the album and wrote half of the lyrics. But it just started as an idea and there has been many months (and years) when Faint been put to ice. I create most of the music just for myself to listen, and i only create my music when im in the right mood (wich can take alot of time between every track). But I decided 2008 to create a site for Faint and put up some songs and lyrics. For free of course.
Faint is a one man band, for now, and its working fine. But there has been thoughts of getting some friends in as session "members". To play instruments they can play better than me, like violin, guitar, cello etc. Im also thinking strongly of using an female opera singer for some songs. So the goal is to combinate blackmetal with classic/orchestral tones.
The idea for faint is to capture some certain feelings and put them into music. The music has its message.. anger, hate, despair. The lyrics brings another more clear message, mostly negative stuff about humans and religion.

Currently recording this album, at the moment there are two totally finished track wich is called "They will return" and "Call of the third legion". Some other lyrics has also been written and this album is moving forward much faster than the first one. Im aiming for a minimum 10 tracks on this album.

Full lenght album released in autumn 2008 with eleven tracks, this album took about three years (minimum) to complete so some stuff is really old. For example "Lick the blade" and "Fatal eclipse" should be seen more as "bonus" material than finished songs actually.
- Labyrinth - 2008
This song was first written in 2002, i wrote this song for the band i was a member in at the moment. This band was called 'Embraced By Darkness' (founded by 'Demonica' in 2001 i think), EBD was very influenced especially by Dimmu Borgir and some other melodic "blackmetal" bands. Labyrinth has actually been performed live in 2002 with me and 4 other band members of EBD. An old demo from 2003 with mididrums is aviable in the 'Music' section. Earlier the track was much more melodic and more piano like. My intention is to make it that way but later, for now only the "raw" version of Labyrinth will be aviable. In this new version i decided to split the keyboard from the song and also play it slightly different from the old version. So like i wrote, i will make a more melodic version like the one from 2003 but that will be put to the future for now.
